Rebranding Glasgow - regenerating a city (update)

In just 40 years Glasgow has undergone a huge transformation - the city has been rebranded as a centre for cultural and sporting events like the Commonwealth Games and host location for major international conferences including COP26. Filmed over a period of 15 years, this resource explores the approaches and regeneration projects that have brought new life to Glasgow's redundant docklands, run down public buildings and catalogue of poor social housing. This updated version of the popular resource highlights the role of the Commonwealth Games in regenerating sporting facilities and housing, explores how street art is being used to change people's sense of place and attract tourists and follows the progress of the UK's largest social housing redevelopment at Sighthill.
